Dr. Shah was born and raised in New York and is excited to serve her very own community. She graduated magna cum laude from Boston University and earned her medical degree at the same institution. This was followed by a residency in Ophthalmology at SUNY Downstate and an Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh.
As an oculoplastic surgeon, Dr. Shah focuses on cosmetic and reconstructive surgical and non-surgical procedures designed to improve the appearance and function of the eyelids and face. Her
extensive training in ophthalmology, with advanced training in plastic and reconstructive surgery, provides patients specialized eyelid surgery and facial rejuvenation, with the comfort of knowing they
have a specialist who is medically trained in vision protection.
Dr. Shah believes in offering the patient the best result possible, and her reaching for the optimal has led her to research new surgical techniques, science, and technology meticulously. She also believes that she is made better by teaching and shares her knowledge of aesthetics and surgery to interested clinicians in the academic setting, at conferences, and as part of teaching courses.
Dr. Tejas Patel MD specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology. He has extensive experience treating patients of all ages, ethnicity, and skin types. After completing medical school in Chicago, Dr. Patel further completed a residency in dermatology at the University of Miami, where he had specialized training in one of the largest aesthetics markets in the country. He also had the privilege of learning
surgical techniques with sun-drenched population in South Florida where skin cancer was very prevalent.
As a dermatologist who strives to stay current on the latest advancements in skincare, Dr. Patel believes that modern dermatological treatments, combined with a concerted doctor-patient relationship can mitigate virtually any medical skin condition and cosmetic concerns. He enjoys passing on this knowledge
to the residents he treats as faculty at Columbia University’s Dermatology Residency program.
Dr. Patel emphasizes the importance of understanding patient concerns and expectations to deliver the best possible aesthetic treatments with natural results. His desire to offer optimal results to his patients has led him to research and speaking engagements with various aesthetic companies, which are focused on teaching other clinicians how to deliver similar results to their patients.
